AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities say a girl shot in the head during an apartment shooting in northeast Austin early Tuesday morning has died.
Police were called to the scene at the Bridge at Harris Ridge apartments, located in the 1500 block of East Howard Lane near Dessau Road around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. Multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunshots.
According to APD, a teenage girl was found with head trauma from a gunshot wound. She was transported to Dell Children's Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
Police said as many as 15-20 gunshots were fired, and witnesses reported seeing shell casings in the apartment complex's parking lot.
No one is in custody, police said.
