AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A woman is dead following a hit and run crash in northeast Austin Thursday night.
Officials said the crash happened just before 9:45 p.m. Thursday at East St. Johns Avenue and Cameron Road.
According to Austin Police, a vehicle struck the woman, said to be in her 50s, while she was lying in the intersection. The vehicle struck her while they were driving through the intersection, and then drove off.
Police located the vehicle a short time later, but have yet to find the driver.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
