TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- First responders are on the scene of a homicide investigation in southern Travis County.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office says the scene is in Manchaca, near the intersection of Tangled Brush Drive & Buffalo Ridge Drive.
Deputies responded to a check welfare call around 10 a.m. Tuesday, after a neighbor noticed that boxes were starting to accumulate in front of a home. When deputies responded to the scene, they looked through the windows and found "exigent circumstances" that gave them cause to enter the home.
Once inside, deputies found a female in her late 50s. Officials said it was obvious that she was deceased, and not of natural causes.
Detectives are on the scene and working to identify the circumstances surrounding the woman's death. There is a strong indication that the suspect and the decedent knew each other.
