Isolated showers, storms Wednesday as flash flood threat continues

(Talk1370.com) -- Scattered showers and storms will continue across Central Texas on Wednesday, with the chance for potentially heavy rainfall that could lead to some isolated flash flooding.

A 70 percent chance of Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue Wednesday, with highs reaching into the upper 70s. Winds will be out of the southeast at 10 to 15mph.


A 50 percent chance of showers and storms continues into Wednesday night, with lows falling back into the mid 60s. Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 10mph.

Rainfall estimates have fallen off a little bit along the Interstate 35 corridor, as the focus of the heaviest rains has shifted to the south and east. Through midday Thursday, forecasters estimate another 1-2 inches of rain could fall along the I-35 corridor. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

THURSDAY NIGHT...Cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY...Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 80. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT...Cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s.

SATURDAY...Cloudy. Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s. Chance of rain 70 percent.

SATURDAY NIGHT...Cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 80.

SUNDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 60s.

MONDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s.
