AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- An all clear has been given after law enforcement officials responded to McCallum High School in North Austin Wednesday afternoon to investigate a reported threat against the campus.

The campus is located off of Sunshine Drive, near the intersection of Koenig Lane and North Lamar Boulevard.

Austin ISD officials say the campus was placed on a "hold" while that investigation was ongoing, for about two hours beginning around 2:30 p.m. A hold means that students are kept inside classrooms, and hallways are cleared.

"We are investigating a bomb threat to campus," a text message sent to parents said. "Dismissal will be delayed while K9 units search the campus. More details to come."

Dismissal began around 4:30 p.m., district officials said.
