Leander ISD committee pulls 11 books from clubs, classroom libraries

Library books

LEANDER, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Leander ISD officials say 11 books have been identified and pulled from the district's book clubs and classroom libraries, although they still remain available in campus and digital libraries.

The district says the removals are the end result of a year-long process by teachers, staff, and community members.

District officials say that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, much of the book club review process last year was based on online book reviews, instead of the traditional committee process.
