AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A man is dead and two women were assaulted Monday night after a shooting in northwest Austin, according to police.
Austin Police say the incident happened in the 10200 block of Missel Thrush Drive, near Anderson Mill Road and U.S. 183 around 10:30 p.m. Monday night.
When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds in the street, and two women who were badly hurt. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the two women were transported to a nearby hospital and both are expected to recover.
Police say the shooter and the victims appear to know each other, but no other details have been released. They do say there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the public.
