BASTROP COUNTY, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting just west of Bastrop Saturday night.
The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office says it received a 911 call from a woman reporting someone firing off a shot inside a residence off of FM 969 just west of Bastrop around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they were fired at multiple times by the suspect, identified as 61-year old Seth Thomas Robertson.
The deputies returned fire, but did not know if Robertson was hit.
Additional deputies were called out to the scene; as they began to approach Robertson on foot, he raised his arms as if he was going to shoot them. Those deputies fired their rifles, striking Robertson twice.
According to the Sheriff's office, Robertson was said to be in stable condition.
The four deputies who fired their weapons have been placed on administrative leave per protocol; an outside agency will conduct an independent investigation into the incident.
