AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed by a gunman at the door of his south Austin home Thursday afternoon.
Austin Police said the incident happened in the 1100 block of Kenyon Drive, just south of Stassney Lane, around 12:15 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man with "severe injuries consistent with a shooting." He was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The shooter, who police say is believed to be a man in his 20s, is believed to have knocked on the door of the victim, also a man in his 20s. The two spoke for about five minutes before the shooter opened fire.
The shooter then left the scene in a vehicle.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said. Anyone with information is urged to call APD at 512-974-8477.
