AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport continues to set new records, with May 2024 marking a new all-time high for passenger traffic.
Airport officials said Tuesday that 2,068,404 passengers traveled through AUS in May, besting the previous all-time high set in July 2023 by 27,423 passengers. It marks a 4.37% increase year over year.
For the year, through May 31, passenger traffic is up to 8,808,722, a 0.8% increase year over year.
Airport officials say they expect the passenger totals to keep rising, with May, June, and July historically busy months for AUS.
