AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police say they've arrested a juvenile in connection with a deadly shooting Sunday night in South Austin.

Police were called to the 6400 of Bradsher Drive, near William Cannon and South First, around 10:13 p.m. after multiple callers reported a shooting in the area.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving measures, that victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. APD says he's been identified as 16-year old Matthew Pichardo.

Investigators continued to process the scene and interview witnesses, determining that Pichardo had been shot by another juvenile who had fled the scene.

Later, that juvenile suspect turned himself into the Gardner Betts Juvenile Center. He's facing a charge of first-degree murder.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call APD's Homicide tip line at 512-974-TIPS, or Capital Area Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS.

It's the city's 10th homicide of the year.
