HAYS COUNTY, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- More than 40 people, including minors, were taken into custody early Tuesday as a part of a raid involving federal, state, and local authorities.

The FBI's San Antonio field office, in a statement, said its agents, along with Hays County Sheriff's Office and Texas DPS personnel, obtained a search warrant for a residence in Hays County. DPS' Special Response Team executed that warrant, which also uncovered narcotics.

FBI officials say their investigation has been going on for more than a year, including support from the FBI and ICE, the San Antonio Police Department, DPS, and other federal, state, and local partners.

"In recent days, the FBI developed intelligence regarding a possible gathering of suspected [Tren de Aragua] members or TdA associates in Hays County," the agency said in a statement.

Hays County Sheriff's officials declined to comment beyond clarifying that the raid occurred east of Dripping Springs, noting that it is an FBI case.

"State and federal prosecutors will evaluate potential charges based on evidence obtained during the search warrant and subsequent investigation," the FBI said.
