Morning dense fog expected to give way to lower 90s this afternoon

(Talk1370.com) -- Central Texas is on tap for the hottest temperatures we've likely seen in nearly six months Thursday.

Clouds and dense fog will clear in the morning, with highs reaching up to the lower to mid 90s - a forecast high of 93 for Austin. Light southwest winds will swing southerly in the afternoon, becoming 10 to 15mph.


Clouds will build in tonight, with lows falling into the mid 60s. South winds will continue 10 to 15mph, gusting up to 25mph after midnight.

FRIDAY...Mostly cloudy in the morning then clearing. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the north with gusts to around 30 mph after midnight.

SATURDAY...Not as warm. Partly cloudy in the morning then clearing. Highs around 80. North winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT...Clear. Lows in the lower 50s.

SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY...Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 80s. Lows in the lower 60s.

MONDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy before midnight then becoming mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 60.

TUESDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s.

TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 60. Highs in the mid 70s.
