AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Just under 12 percent of Travis County's nearly 850,000 registered voters cast their ballots during early voting, according to the Travis County Clerk's Office.
A total of 21,925 ballots were cast on Friday, the final day of early voting for Tuesday's election featuring a number of statewide constitutional amendments, alongside two City of Austin ballot propositions and a number of other local issues across Central Texas.
Friday's turnout - which more than dwarfed any other day of early voting - helped push the final early voting total to 100,632 ballots, including 95,230 cast in person, 5,367 mail-in ballots already received, and 35 limited ballots.
The last off-year constitutional amendment election, in Nov. 2019, saw a total turnout of just over 15%. More than 60 percent of that turnout came on Election Day itself, leaving some hope that Travis County's total turnout could top the 20 percent mark.
In Williamson County, the last two days of early voting also saw a surge in turnout. Through all of early voting, a total of 24,747 ballots have been cast, or about 6.29% of WilCo's registered voters.
Tuesday is your last opportunity to vote in the election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
