KYLE, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Evacuation orders have been lifted after a wildfire broke out in the southern part of the City of Kyle Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

Hays County emergency officials said its Wildland Task Force was responding to the area near 290 Roland Lane just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, with nearby homes being evacuated out of an abundance of caution. Those evacuations were lifted just after 4 p.m., officials said.

Officials said that the blaze had grown to roughly 25 acres and was approximately 90 percent contained.

The Kyle Public Library at 550 Scott Street, the First Baptist Church at 400 West Center Street, and the Krug Activity Center at 101 S. Burleson are all available for evacuees who need somewhere to go.

Emergency officials said air support was being called in to help fight the fire.
