No appointments needed for drive-thru COVID-19 vaccines at COTA this weekend

COVID-19 vaccine

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- You've got another opportunity to get a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment - at the Circuit of The Americas this weekend.

The drive-thru clinic at the circuit, located at 9201 Circuit of The Americas Boulevard, is open to anyone 16 and older; those under 18 will need a parent or guardian to be present.

The clinic will operate from 9 a.m. to Noon on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Patients will be given a first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

"While there is still a lot of hard work to be done, this weekend will get us one step closer to where anyone who wants a vaccine can get a vaccine," Travis County Judge Andy Brown said. "I remain committed to making certain our hardest hit populations get their vaccine quickly, efficiently, and equitably. If you can make it to COTA this weekend, now is the time to get your vaccine."

Austin Public Health is also continuing its no-appointment-required walk-up clinic at the Delco Center on Friday. That event will continue from noon until 7:30 p.m., or as long as vaccine doses last.
