AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- One person is dead after a fiery crash Tuesday morning in southeastern Travis County.
Austin-Travis County EMS says the crash was reported just after 6:30 a.m. in the 9100 block of U.S. Highway 183, near the intersection with FM 973.
The Travis County Sheriff's office said one of the vehicles involved caught on fire in the crash. Another vehicle involved crashed into a nearby building.
Medics say one person was pronounced deceased on the scene, and another patient was transported to St. David's South Austin with serious injuries.
Officials said Highway 183 would be closed in both directions while crews investigate the crash, with delays likely for several hours.
