AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- One person is dead and two others were hospitalized following a shooting in downtown Austin early Thursday morning.
Austin Police say they first received word of a shooting under the Interstate 35 overpass at 7th Street around midnight, but were unable to find any victims at the scene. Three minutes later, first responders were called to 18th Street and Colorado, where two victims were found.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, a woman was pronounced deceased at the scene, while a man with serious injuries was transported to a nearby hospital.
A third victim arrived at the hospital on their own, medics said.
Police say a search for the suspect is ongoing, with no lingering threat to the public.
