AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- One man is dead after he was struck while trying to cross Interstate 35 in north Austin late Sunday night.
Police say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes of I-35 near Howard Lane.
The man was reportedly struck by multiple vehicles, according to police.
The drivers involved remained on the scene and are cooperating with the investigation, police said.
The southbound lanes were closed for several hours while police investigated the scene, but re-opened prior to the morning rush hour.
