AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- One person is dead following a shooting on the city's east side Thursday afternoon, officials said - one of two homicides in the city Thursday.
According to Austin Police, the first call reporting a shooting came in around 12:45 p.m. near East 12th Street and Webberville Road, near Springdale Road.
According to APD, witnesses reported a female victim being transported to Dell Seton Medical Center. She was later pronounced deceased at the hospital, officials said.
Police say their investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
So far, 24 homicides have happened in the city so far this year.
