AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- No victims were found after authorities responded to a shots fired call in north Austin Friday afternoon, as police continue to search for the gunmen involved.

According to Austin Police and Austin-Travis County EMS, calls for the incident - which was originally reported as a potential active shooter situation - came in just before 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon from the 10600 block of North Lamar Boulevard, south of Braker Lane.

About an hour after the first call, officials reported that there were "no known injuries."

Police say the people involved had left the scene by the time officers arrived. Detectives are working to figure out exactly what happened and who may have fired shots, interviewing witnesses and looking at video surveillance.

Officials say they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
