
AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police have identified a man killed in a fatal crash in central Austin early Saturday morning.
Police say 41-year old Khairullah Danish was driving eastbound on East 38 1/2 Street near Interstate 35 around 1 a.m. Saturday. According to police, the traffic signals at IH-35 were flashing red in all directions.
Police say Danish came to a complete stop and then proceeded to travel through the intersection. As he was traveling across the northbound frontage road, Danish was struck by a vehicle driven by 24-year old Christian Ramos, who failed to yield the right of way.
Medics pronounced Danish deceased on the scene.
Police say their investigation shows Ramos was driving while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest, and is facing a charge of intoxication manslaughter with a bond set at $100,000.

This marks the first fatal traffic crash of 2021 in the city of Austin.
