Police investigating after fatal shooting in southeast Austin

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating a suspicious death on the city's southeast side Thursday afternoon.

Austin Police were called to the scene in the 1300 block of South Pleasant Valley Road around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, after 911 callers reported shots being fired.

As officers were on their way to the scene, another 911 call reported a person being shot and taken to a nearby emergency room clinic. That victim later died, officials said.

Investigators are continuing to determine what exactly happened during the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call 512-472-8477.
