
AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot to death in downtown Austin Tuesday morning.
According to Austin Police, multiple callers reported a man being shot near the area of Sixth Street and Sabine just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.
When officers arrived, they found a man with "obvious trauma to the chest." Medical attention was provided, but he was ultimately pronounced deceased. Police believe he was in his 30s.
Homicide detectives are searching the area for any evidence, including possible surveillance video. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call APD's Homicide Tip Line at (512) 477-3588.
It's the city's 49th homicide of the year.
