AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- First responders were on the scene of a homicide investigation in downtown Austin early Saturday morning.
Austin Police said its officers were called to a scene in the 90 block of Red River Street around 6:30 a.m., after multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunshots.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male victim. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said no suspects were in custody, and the investigation was ongoing.
It's the city's 17th homicide of the year.
