AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Saturday morning in north Austin.
The Austin Police Department says officers responded to the 900 block of East Braker Lane at approximately 8:10 a.m., where they discovered a man in his 50s suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
According to police, the victim was located near a homeless encampment in the area.
Authorities have not yet identified a suspect or released any suspect descriptions. APD confirmed this incident is being investigated as Austin's 11th homicide of 2026, and the investigation remains ongoing.
