AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Thousands of demonstrators were expected to converge on downtown Austin and surrounding Central Texas communities Saturday for the latest series of "No Kings" rallies, a coordinated protest against the Trump administration that organizers believe could be among the largest in U.S. history.
The nationwide demonstrations were expected to take place in several cities across Central Texas including Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville.
There are currently multiple road closures in the area of Cesar Chavez and Lavaca for a large event. Please avoid the area if possible. WC1 #ATXtraffic

The Austin Police Department reported that the downtown Austin march originated at City Hall before proceeding across the Congress Avenue Bridge.
The crowd was expected to regroup at Auditorium Shores.
Traffic in the downtown corridor remains heavily impacted. APD has implemented rolling closures, specifically citing the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Lavaca Streets as a primary area of congestion.
