AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Vice President JD Vance is traveling to Austin on Tuesday to record an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience," according to a source familiar with the matter who confirmed the plans to CBS News.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a temporary flight restriction for "VIP Movement" in the Austin area. The notice restricts aircraft operations within a 7-mile radius of the Austin airport between 11:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Central time on Tuesday.
According to publicly available flight-tracking data, Air Force Two departed Joint Base Andrews at 6:34 a.m. EDT and appeared to land at Austin-Bergstrom at 8:18 a.m.
Rogan's highly popular podcast is produced from a studio located in the city.
The trip to Texas marks a sudden change to the vice president's itinerary. Vance was originally scheduled to be on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday but abruptly canceled those plans the day prior, citing a "scheduling conflict," CBS News reported.
