AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Scattered showers Tuesday afternoon from the outer bands of Tropical Storm Harold helped snap a record-setting streak of consecutive triple-digit days in Austin.
Camp Mabry recorded an official high of 99 degrees just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, ending the streak of consecutive days with highs at or above the 100 degree mark at 45.
Those rain showers moved into the city shortly after 3 p.m., with the Mabry site officially picking up 0.11" of rainfall.
According to LCRA Hydromet gauges, many spots across the area saw less than one tenth of an inch, although some isolated spots recorded larger amounts. An LCRA gauge along Onion Creek at Buda recorded 0.46" of rainfall.
Despite the streak being broken at Mabry, the streak at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on the city's southeast side continues, with temperatures reaching 100 degrees at 1:44 p.m. Tuesday. Bergstrom has seen 25 days and counting of 100 degrees or higher, dating back to July 29.
