Some Central Texas schools dismissing early Monday due to expected severe weather

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- With a threat of severe weather in the forecast for Monday afternoon, some Central Texas school districts are adjusting their schedules and sending students home early.

We'll update this article as we get new details from area districts.

Last Updated: Monday 3:30pm

Lake Travis ISD: Elementary schools will dismiss at 1pm; middle and high schools will dismiss at 2:10pm. Transportation services will operate two hours earlier than usual. All after-school activities are canceled.

Del Valle ISD: Elementary schools will dismiss at normal times. Middle schools will dismiss at 1:30pm. Del Valle High School and the district's Opportunity Center will dismiss at 12:45pm. All after-school activities are canceled.

Manor ISD: High schools will release at 12:30pm; middle schools will release at 1:30pm; elementary schools will release at 2:30pm. After-school activities and tonight's Board of Trustees meeting have been canceled.

Taylor ISD: Each campus will dismiss 30 minutes early. No athletic events after school today.

Bastrop ISD & Pflugerville ISD: After-school activities canceled.
