AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- NBA basketball will make its way to the Moody Center next spring, with the San Antonio Spurs set to play two home games in Austin.

Team and arena officials announced Wednesday the Austin games will be held on Thursday, April 6 and Saturday, April 8. The Spurs are also set to play a home game in Mexico City, and a 50th anniversary game at the San Antonio Alamodome.

The team's 2022-23 schedule is set to be released later Wednesday afternoon.

“Hosting these four games is part of our vision to purposefully engage and celebrate our entire Spurs following from Mexico to Austin, while fostering the next generation of fans,” said RC Buford, CEO for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “Playing in front of our Austin fans for the first time ever during the regular season, returning to Mexico City and the Alamodome will each be historic and special moments for our entire organization. We are grateful for our loyal supporters throughout our entire region and are thrilled for the opportunity to play in front of them as part of our 50th anniversary season.”

The team's remaining 37 home games will be played at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
