(Talk1370.com) -- Strong, possibly severe thunderstorms could impact parts of the Hill Country and the Austin metro later tonight into Tuesday morning.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until Midnight for Travis and Williamson Counties...
Much of Travis and Williamson Counties are under a marginal risk for severe storms - the lowest of five levels forecast by the Storm Prediction Center. A larger threat is focused to the north and west of the Austin area.
A front moving through the area may bring a broken line of showers and storms across Central Texas. Cloud cover and cooler temperatures through the day earlier on Monday may help to keep storms from developing as rapidly as they could have otherwise, with an atmospheric cap preventing the storms from blowing up.
Forecasters are calling for a 70 percent chance of rain across the Austin area.
