Weather Forecast April 15
National Weather Service

(Talk1370.com) -- Scattered showers and storms will hang around for much of the day Thursday across Central Texas, with a chance for severe storms.

Skies will remain cloudy, with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be severe. Highs will reach into the lower 70s, with northeast winds 10 to 15mph.

All of the Austin metro counties are under a risk for severe storms - a level 2 out of 5, according to the Storm Prediction Center's latest severe outlook. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the Hill Country until 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon, though none of our Austin metro counties are included yet.

Large hail and strong winds are the biggest threats with any storms that do develop.
