MANOR, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- A student at Manor Senior High School is dead after being stabbed by another student on campus Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
Austin-Travis County EMS says its medics were called to the campus just after 12:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Despite lifesaving efforts, that victim was pronounced deceased on the scene, officials said.
Manor Police and Manor ISD Police are investigating the incident. Officials say an altercation between two students led to the stabbing. The suspect is said to be in custody.
Manor ISD officials say the campus is closing early Tuesday and will remain closed on Wednesday; students are able to be picked up in front of the campus and those who normally ride the bus will be transported home shortly. The closure applies to both Manor Senior High School and Manor Early College High School, which are located in buildings next to each other on the same campus.
