AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Thousands across Central Texas lost power late Sunday after severe thunderstorms moved through the area.

Roughly 3,000 Austin Energy customers were without power as of 7:30 a.m. Monday morning. That was down from a peak of more than 17,000 Sunday night.

Thousands of other customers were impacted across other providers, including Oncor, and the Pedernales and Bluebonnet Electric cooperatives. Many of those outages had been restored by early Monday morning.

Austin Energy said it had all of its available crews working on repairs.
