AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Despite a reported crash between a train and a pedestrian in south Austin Monday morning, first responders left the scene without finding the person reportedly hit.
Austin-Travis County EMS first reported the collision near West Mary and South Seventh Streets around 5:40 a.m. Monday morning.
Officials said the train operator heard a crash, prompting them to stop the train.
Crews brought in a thermal imaging drone to help try and locate the patient.
ATCEMS says its medics cleared the scene shortly after 7 a.m. with no patient located. Austin Fire and Police crews remained on the scene until just after 8:15 a.m., when the train finally cleared the scene.
