AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating after an off-duty Travis County Sheriff's deputy was involved in an apparent shooting incident in south Austin early Tuesday morning.
Austin Police tell us the incident happened just after midnight in the 6200 block of South Interstate 35, between Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive.
The off-duty TCSO deputy was in his personal vehicle, according to APD. During the incident, "a weapon or weapons" were discharged.
No injuries were reported. The other individual involved was able to drive away from the scene.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. The TCSO deputy will be placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of investigations into the incident, which is standard procedure for any officer-involved shooting.
