CEDAR PARK, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Drivers in Williamson County are about to see some congestion improvements along the 183A toll road, thanks to a new project about to begin construction.
The Texas Department of Transportation says it will begin construction on a nearly three mile project adding free frontage road lanes along 183A between RM 1431 and Avery Ranch Boulevard.
Two lanes will be built in each direction. The project also calls for a shared-use path on the northbound side of the road, which will connect to the existing U.S. 183 trailhead.
TxDOT says the project has been in the works since 2018. Construction is expected to begin soon, with a projected completion date in 2028.
