AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Crews will work Friday morning to remove a car from Lady Bird Lake, after it ended up in the water overnight.
First responders say they received several 911 calls around 12:40 a.m. Friday morning, reporting a car sinking into the water. Austin Fire and Austin-Travis County EMS paramedics searched in the water for a driver, but could not find anyone. Austin Police also attempted to contact the vehicle's owner, but got no response.
Firefighters say it looks like someone drove onto the Hike and Bike Trail and crashed into the water, along Barton Springs Road in between South First Street and South Congress Avenue.
Crews will work Friday morning to remove the vehicle from the lake.
