The City of Austin is warning of some traffic delays and road closures Monday and Tuesday as Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to visit the city.

According to the city, road closures will be in place Monday morning around Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Rolling road closures can be expected as Vance's motorcade leaves the airport and travels throughout the city.

There will also be an extended street closure in downtown Austin, with Cesar Chavez Street closed from Interstate 35 to Brazos Street. City officials say those closures will be in effect from noon Monday until 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

City officials say drivers should plan alternative routes to avoid delays, use public transportation options, and avoid parking along the road closure area.
