Warm and breezy on Thursday, highs in the 80s

(Talk1370.com) -- Central Texas will see mostly cloudy skies again on Thursday, ahead of a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms this weekend.

Austin will see a forecast high of 83 Thursday afternoon, with southerly winds continuing at 10 to 20mph. A slight chance of isolated showers will stick around at 20 percent.


Clouds will stick around into Thursday night, with the chance for showers dwindling slightly with lows falling into the mid 60s. Winds will continue out of the southeast, 10 to 15mph with gusts to around 25mph.

Here's a look at the extended forecast:

FRIDAY...Breezy. Mostly cloudy. A less than 20 percent chance of showers in the morning. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon.

FRIDAY NIGHT...Partly cloudy before midnight, then cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the mid 60s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.

SATURDAY...Breezy. Cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon.

SATURDAY NIGHT...Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms before midnight, then showers and slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the mid 50s. Chance of rain 80 percent.

SUNDAY...Mostly cloudy with chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then partly cloudy in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. Chance of rain 50 percent.

SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Highs in the upper 70s.

MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY...Partly cloudy. Lows around 50. Highs in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 50s. Highs in the mid 70s.
