AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- City teams will continue their response to last week's severe winter weather Wednesday, as repairs and cleanup continue across Central Texas.
Tuesday afternoon, Austin Water lifted the boil water notice for all of its customers. The utility will also lift emergency water-use restrictions Wednesday morning, with more than 120 million gallons of water in the city's storage reservoirs.
Water distribution sites will continue to be open on Wednesday, although sites are being consolidated as water service is restored and demand is falling. The following sites will be open beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday:
Nelson Field, 7105 Berkman Drive
Roy G. Guerrero Park, 400 Grove Blvd.
Onion Creek Soccer Complex, 5600 E. William Cannon Dr.
Lago Vista City Hall, 5803 Thunderbird, Lago Vista, TX 78645
Village of Point Venture Offices, 411 Lohman Ford Road, Leander, TX 78645
Jones Brothers Park, 10301 Lakeside Dr, Jonestown, TX 78645
Austin Code is responding to a number of city code complaints related to issues resulting from the winter storm. Officials say that tenants should notify their landlord first if they are without water or electricity; code inspectors will then follow up to ensure landlords are getting their properties back up to code as quickly as possible.
City officials have also established a dedicated website with answers and resources for winter storm repairs, as well as a hotline at 512-974-1500 that is available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
