WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- A Williamson County man was arrested Tuesday after investigators said he had been making improvised explosives at his home in a neighborhood outside of Round Rock.
Williamson County Sheriff's Detectives arrested 47-year old Christopher Crawson on a charge of making a terroristic threat against a family member, which is a third-degree felony.
Authorities responded to Crawson's home in the 2500 block of Santa Barbara Loop with a search warrant Tuesday.
According to WCSO officials, neighbors immediately surrounding Crawson's residence were evacuated as a precaution while crews worked to clear the scene.
The Austin Police Department Bomb Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are assisting with the investigation and clearing of the devices.
