MADISONVILLE, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- One person is dead and five others were critically injured after an early morning plane crash in Madisonville.
Police say the plane crashed around 1 a.m. Monday morning at the local airport, about 45 miles northeast of College Station.
One of the victims was trapped inside the plane, but was rescued around 5:30 a.m.
The single-engine plane is said to have crashed short of the runway, officials said.
Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board are expected to arrive at the scene later Monday afternoon.
