Lockdown lifted at US Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland after reports of shots fired

SAN ANTONIO (Talk1370.com) -- Officials gave an all-clear at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Wednesday afternoon, a little less than three hours after the facility was placed on lockdown after reports of shots being fired near the base perimeter.

No injuries were reported in the incident, officials said. JBSA-Lackland is located on the west side of San Antonio near Loop 410 and U.S. Highway 90.

Officials issued the alert around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, with a tweet from base officials reading "Real World, LOCKDOWN, LOCKDOWN, LOCKDOWN."

According to base officials, the reported shooting happened outside the base's Valley Hi Gate, and base first responders were working with the San Antonio Police Department to search for the suspected shooters.
