The drought continues to worsen across the Lone Star State. Almost 50% of the state is experiencing the two highest levels of drought, excessive and extreme.
This time last year, 0% of the state were experiencing these levels. Unfortunately, our drought situation will continue to get worse through the summer, with just very few bouts of rain in the forecast. Temperatures will also be well above average. We can thank La Niña for this type of weather pattern.
