UVALDE, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities have given the all-clear after a bomb threat was reported at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Friday morning - just over a year after a tragic mass shooting claimed the lives of 19 children and two teachers at the campus.
Uvalde Police officials say a male subject called in the threat around 10:40 a.m. Friday morning, saying "he had placed several explosive devices inside Robb Elementary."
UPD officials said they immediately responded to the scene. Robb Elementary has remained closed since the deadly mass shooting on May 24, 2022.
In addition to UPD, Texas DPS, the Uvalde County Sheriff's Department, Uvalde County Constables, Uvalde CISD Police, Uvalde EMS, and the Uvalde Fire Department all assisted with clearing the potential threat.
Officials called in the San Antonio Police Department Bomb Squad and conducted a search of the property; no indication of devices was found at the location.
"After evaluating all information, the Unified Operations Command agreed to sound the 'all clear' for the event," officials said. "We are currently working with our state and federal partners to determine the location of the caller and will prosecute the actor to the fullest extent when fully identified."
Uvalde CISD officials have said the Robb Elementary campus will remain closed until it is eventually demolished; a new campus is planned to be built in its place.
