Dallas County has raised the COVID-19 threat level from green to yellow.
On Wednesday, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said the number of positived COVID-19 cases is going up in the county along with the number of people being hospitalized because of the virus.
That includes an increase in the number of patients being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.
"Dallas County is reporting a four-day total of 1,181 newly reported cases of COVID-19 within 14 days of specimen collection date and 3 deaths," Jenkins tweeted.
"While this is not a cause for panic, North Texas has the tools and knows how to reduce spread. It is especially important that those at high risk begin taking additional precautions" said Jenkins.
