A little girl is dead after being mauled by at least one dog in Southeast Oak Cliff over the weekend.
Dallas police say one dog is in the custody of Animal Services but neighbors say as many as three dogs may have been involved.
On Saturday reports say the four-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with what neighbors say were very serious wounds to her face and head. She did not survive.
Child Protective Services confirms it has had contact with the family before but won't give specifics, citing state privacy laws.
