A former Dallas police officer is going to prison for five years in a child porn case.
Daniel Collins was charged last year and resigned from Dallas PD in August.
In sentencing Collins, a federal judge also ordered Collins to be on probation for the rest of his life.
Investigators say they found Collins was in possession of sexually explicit pictures of underage girls that "portrayed sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence."
